There is a pond on Maine’s Mount Desert Island where the water is so clear you can see straight down to the stones on the bottom. At the far end, two rounded mountains known as the Bubbles rise up from the shore, and the edges are lined with birch and evergreens that lean out over the water. The air is crisp and clean with a hint of the sea nearby, and everything is so still that the whole world seems to be holding its breath.

Jordan Pond was made for that feeling.

It opens with fresh air and bright citrus, clean and crisp, like a cool breeze rippling across the water on an early morning walk. Silver birch, fresh pine, and earthy vetiver fill the heart, green and woodsy, carrying the scent of the forest that surrounds the shore. It’s fresh without being cold and earthy without being heavy, a scent that feels peaceful, clear, and quietly elegant.

Underneath it all, warm cedarwood, sandalwood, and soft amber settle in smooth and grounded. Warm, steady, and refined. The kind of base that feels like sun-warmed granite along the shoreline at the end of a long day on the trail.

Candle Care & Safety Tips

Our coconut apricot wax is soft, creamy, and burns clean and slow. A little care helps every candle give you its best scent and longest life.

The first burn matters most

Let your candle burn until the melted wax reaches the edges of the jar, about 1 hour for every inch across. This sets the “memory” of the wax and prevents tunneling.

Trim before every light

Trim the wick to about ¼ inch before each burn. A shorter wick means a steady flame, less soot, and a cleaner jar.

Keep burns to 4 hours or less

Longer burns can cause the wick to mushroom and the jar to overheat. Let the candle cool completely before relighting.

Avoid drafts

Fans, open windows, and vents can cause uneven burning and flickering. A calm spot gives you the most even melt.

Know when to say goodbye

Stop burning when about ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom. Once cool and clean, the jar is ready to reuse.

Safety first

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Keep away from children, pets, curtains, and anything flammable.
  • Always burn on a stable, heat-safe surface.
  • The jar can get hot. Do not touch or move it while lit or while the wax is melted.
  • If the flame gets too high or starts smoking, extinguish it, let it cool, and trim the wick.
  • Never use water to put out a candle. Use a snuffer or gently cover it.

Shipping and Returns

Every order is hand-poured and packed by us in small batches, so please allow 3 to 5 business days for processing. Orders ship via USPS unless you request another carrier at checkout.

During hot weather, we ship only on Mondays and Tuesdays. That way your candles spend less time sitting in a warm truck or warehouse over the weekend and arrive looking just as they did when they left our studio.

You’ll get a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships.

Arrived damaged?

We pack every order with care, but if something arrives broken, email us at chandlerspride@gmail.com within 7 days with a photo, and we’ll make it right with a replacement or refund.

Returns

Because candles and body care are personal-use items, we can’t accept returns on opened or burned products. Unused items in original condition may be returned within 14 days for store credit. Reach out and we’ll walk you through it.
