There are places on this earth so ancient, so layered with green and dripping with life, that walking into them feels like stepping through a doorway into a world that existed long before you did. Fern Canyon is one of those places. A narrow corridor carved through the Northern California coast, its walls rise fifty feet on either side, covered floor to ceiling in a living tapestry of ferns and moss so dense the light arrives green and diffused, as though the canyon itself is filtering it before letting it through.

The first thing you notice is the cool. Then the sound of the creek running through the canyon floor, quiet and unhurried, threading its way between stones worn smooth by time. The walls drip with moisture. The earth underfoot is dark and soft and alive with things growing. Every surface here is covered in something green. The scale of it quiets you in the way only ancient places can.

So prehistoric looking it was included in The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Fern Canyon carries the unmistakable weight of a place that has been here far longer than the trails that lead into it. The coastal redwoods stand nearby, the Pacific Ocean waits just beyond the ridge, and everything in between is damp and green and impossibly, improbably beautiful.

This candle holds all of that. The green and the cool and the dripping quiet. The mossy earth and the soft breath of coastal air. The feeling of wandering somewhere the world has not yet caught up with.
